I'm not going to spoil it by writing an essay. I'll just say that it makes me pretty happy, and I'm totally going to post a picture of me and the crow when I visit it at the fair. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me in this hobby.
Here's some nice news for a Sunday afternoon: my crow sculpture won first place in the amateur sculpture competition at the South Carolina state fair (the judging results are here). It must have won something else as well, since the award money is listed as $1500 and the prize money for first place in the amateur sculpture class is $200. I'm not going to spoil it by writing an essay. I'll just say that it makes me pretty happy, and I'm totally going to post a picture of me and the crow when I visit it at the fair. Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me in this hobby. Update (10/12/2016): It did indeed win Best of Show in the amateur division. Miller Time!

This marvelous sculpture reminds me of Orlando airport's former resident alligator, the very real "Chester the Dog-Eater." (In a round-about way.)

My wife owns 51% of the crow, so you'll have to convince her.

Replace the horns on the triceratops with a couple Design Toscanos and submit it next year.
