Yet another reason why I love this topic: I stumbled across this song by the band Rasputina while doing some poking around for information on yet another giants-related program activities tangent.

It's awesome and you should listen to it.

I have no idea what this band is or what the backstory to this song is, but it is called "Holocaust of Giants," and it's set in Ohio and features double rows of teeth.

I suspect that I'm one of the few who will read this who has actually been to Kinderhook, IL--and talked to a lot of the locals with respect to the Kinderhook plates--and the mound. But the "Sister Kinderhook" album title might refer to Kinderhook, NY. Anyone know?

So sorry that "double rows of teeth" wasn't a constantly repeated chorus, knowing how much you love hearing the phrase! I'm going to suggest to Jim Vieira that he makes a record. I am supposed to go to a few places with him in April and maybe we can make a song for you. I'll get Jim to say it over and over for you. Andrew Collins will be along, and he can add a few British accent chorus lines. Really, no kidding.

Also, I'm no embroidery expert, but does not the cover of the album appear to show two people playing stringed instruments to a mastodon tooth?

According to the website associated with the group the "mastodon tooth" is a bag of flowers. It's obviously a Rorschach test of some kind. You saw something archaeological, but I would have predicted you'd see a Denisovan tooth. I saw a bag of donuts.
